Animated Short- World War 1

Group Notes-

After all our work over the week researching into different ideas and exploring different formats that we can use we decided to go with a concept everyone is happy about. As the century of remembrance of the soldiers who fought in WW1 is this month we decided to base our short on the brave soldiers who fought the war.

To get a better understanding of the WW1 I did a little history research as I’m not that educated in this area I basically looked into the BBC’s 100 years of remembrance: 1914-2014 . Link-https://www.bbc.com/timelines/z229kqt

Then as further research we went to the Northern Ireland War Memorial in Belfast to get first hand images and I think we plan on going to cavan to see the trenches first hand (which is an exhibition gallery). Link-http://www.cavanmuseum.ie/Default.aspx?StructureID_str=87

What we were looking at stylistically was a game that I found called 11-11- Memories Retold which Ardman have put out this year. Trailer below-

This game is based on WW1 and the stories of the people who have to face the war but also have humanity for their loved ones. I thought this game had a nice style and was very well executed.
